PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float steam trap allowing the opening of a valve when pressure in a valve chest is higher than the maximum working pressure and quick discharge of a great amount of condensed water. SOLUTION: A casing having the valve chest 3 inside is formed with a body 1 and a cover 2, an inlet 4, an outlet passage 5 and an outlet 6 are formed in the body 1, and a second outlet passage 7 in communication with the outlet passage 5 is formed in the cover 2. A drain valve seat 9 having a drain valve port 10 open is mounted on the lower side wall of the valve chest 3 and a float 11 is freely stored in the valve chest 3 for opening/closing the drain valve port 10. A second valve seat 12 having a second valve port 13 open is mounted on the cover 2, and a valve member 14 is arranged on the side of the outlet 6 of the second valve port 13 for opening/closing the second valve port 13. An operation member consisting of an operation rod 16 and a float support 17 is fixed to the lower face of the valve member 14. A spring 20 is arranged around a guide rod 15 for energizing the valve member 14 in a valve closing direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
