PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable type hinge by which not only a wing body is mounted or demounted simply with excellent workability but also a wing plate is manufactured at a low cost and low in the occurrence of defects. SOLUTION: A shaft pin 5 is inserted into the upper bearing cylindrical section 3 and lower bearing cylindrical section 4 of the rotary-side wing plate 2 vertically movably and rotatably, a sideway operating member 6 is formed at the base end of the pin 5, a spring receiving body 12 abutted against the top face 11 of the cylindrical section 4 is projected to the intermediate section of the pin 5 and a compression coil spring 13 fitted to the pin 5 is compressed between the cylindrical section 3 and the spring receiving body 12 and the pin 5 is moved and urged downward. When a wing body 1 is installed to a fixed frame body 7, the pin 5 is held at a standby place where a front-end side 9 is retracted into the cylindrical section 4 of the wing plate 2 by engaging the operating member 6 with an engaging groove 16 formed in a flange 15 of the wing body 1.
