PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submarine storage type wave absorbing device capable of shortening a wave absorbing time after a water tank test by enabling submarine storage of a wave absorbing part. SOLUTION: The device crushes waves of water surface and drives an attenuating wave unit 14 and a rise and fall drive mechanism 15 for submarine storage. The wave absorbing unit is formed of a wave absorbing section 11, a float 12, and a frame 13. The rise and fall drive mechanism 15 has a rise and fall drive mechanism making it possible to pull the wave absorbing unit into the water bottom side and house it into the water.
