PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low soundproof protective fence formed by installing soundproof panels on a road (for road side) protective fence formed of guard pipes, having an excellent visual appearance, and usable also on a stool for pedestrians. SOLUTION: In this low soundproof protective fence formed by installing the soundproof panels on the protective fence, a plurality of columns are erected along a road at specified intervals, and beam materials are installed on the columns at positions extended to a vehicle passing side. The soundproof panels are installed between the columns at heights generally same as those of the columns. Thickness of the soundproof panels are generally same or smaller than those of the columns. Upper surfaces of the panels are formed on a sloped surface in which the vehicle passing side is higher and a sidewalk side is lower. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
