PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment and a process for manufacturing a liquefied product of a biomass material which can make the ideal residence time and the ideal stirring effect for the biomass material stand together and can achieve the liquefaction that is at a low cost, broadly accommodative, highly efficient, and of high quality. SOLUTION: The equipment is constituted by stirring treatment apparatuses 2, 3, and 5 which have one or more stirring members 12, 48, and 75, respectively, which are provided with mixing impellers on the peripheral surface of the stirring axis, which have a casing 11, 47, and 72, respectively which cases the stirring member, and which have a driving mechanism 15, 50, and 77, respectively which exerts self-axis rotation alternately to forward and reverse directions. There are installed, in the order from the supplying side, material supply port 1, preheating conveying section 20, reaction chemicals injection port 6, mixing section 22, heating section 23, liquefaction reaction section 56, reaction stopper injection port 7, volatiles removing section 8, and cooling discharging section 85.
