SELF-EMULSIFIABLE BLOCK POLYISOCYANATE COMPOSITION AND WATER-BASED COATING USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a self-emulsifiable block polyisocyanate composition having a sufficient pot life in a water dispersion system and excellent physical properties of a coating film, and a water-based coating using the same. SOLUTION: This self-emulsifiable block polyisocyanate composition is obtained by blocking the isocyanate group of a polyisocyanate mixture of at least (A) a polyisocyanate obtained by reacting an isocyanurate-modified polyisocyanate (A1) of hexamethylene diisocyanate with a poly(oxyalkylene)glycol monoalkyl ether (A2) containing at least≥30 mol % of the total of an oxyethylene bond in the molecule and (B) an allophanate-modified polyisocyanate having 2-3 average functional groups and≤500 mPa×s/25°C viscosity in the mass ratio (A)/(B) of 50/50-90/10.
