PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fine particles of an organic/inorganic composite, having excellent heat resistance, having suitable flexibility, without rigidity, nor brittleness, and having high affinity to a thermoplastic film medium, to provide an additive for the film given by using the same, and to provide the thermoplastic film. SOLUTION: The fine particles of the organic/inorganic composite have a structure in which an organic polymer skeleton and a polysiloxane skeleton are contained as essential components, and further have a thermal decomposition temperature of≥300°C at which a weight loss of 5% occurs. The additive for the film consists mainly of the fine particles of the organic/inorganic composite. The thermoplastic film contains the fine particles of the organic/inorganic composite.
