CARBON BLACK, BLACK COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR CARBON BLACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carbon black which exhibits good dispersibility and fluidity while having a total volatile oxygen amount by the same as that of a conventional level, a black composition containing the carbon black and a production method for the carbon black. SOLUTION: The carbon black has a powder resistance value (VR)[Ωcm] which is≥2 and satisfies the formula: VR≥6.7562F-1.0453 wherein F=(total oxygen amount [mg/g])×(nitrogen adsorption specific surface area [m2/g])-0.4×(DBP absorption [ml/100g])-0.3. The black composition contains the carbon black. The carbon black is obtained by pulverizing powdered carbon black so as to bring it into aggregated particles having an average particle diameter of≤500μm, followed by surface-treating the resultant particles under specific conditions.
