PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device performing the moving-up front conveying for accumulating a plurality of articles on a single conveying module in order to improve the conveying efficiency in comparison with a conventional conveying device and to improve the conveying performance while minimizing the impact even in collision of particles. SOLUTION: This conveying device 1 is configurated by connecting the plurality of conveying modules 2 in series. The conveying module 2 is composed of a driving zone K and a driven zone J having an article conveying speed slower than that of the driving zone. In the conveying device 1, the roller 6 with a motor, of the adjacent upstream conveying module 2 is rotated at a low speed for a predetermined time, under a condition that the articles are loaded on the adjacent conveying module 2, and the conveying zone 2 at a downstream side is stopped in a state of loading the articles. Thereafter, the articles on the upstream conveying module 2 are slowly transferred onto the downstream conveying module, and an interval with the article on the downstream conveying module 2 is narrowed.
