PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator guiding device capable of suppressing the occurrence of noises and vibration and letting a car and a balance weight travel smoothly along a guide rail without requiring troublesome maintenance such as oil supply. SOLUTION: The guide rail 1 having U-shaped cross section is provided in a hoistway, and air guide shoes 7a, 7b, 7c opposing to each wall face 1a, 1b, 1c on an inner side of the guide rail 1 are provided in the car 4. Compressed air is injected toward the wall faces 1a, 1b, 1c from each air guide shoe 7a, 7b, 7c, which is kept in a non-contact condition with the wall faces 1a, 1b, 1c by the compressed air to let each air guide shoe 7a, 7b, 7c travel integrally with the car 4 along the wall faces 1a, 1b, 1c in this condition.
