The device for the stabilizing of the driver's seat (1) in especially a commercial motor vehicle has a stabilizing device installed on the cab floor (5) between the seat section (2) and seat foot (4) and carries out a stabilizing of the forces influenced by the vehicle on the seat when the vehicle is in motion and at least a stabilizing of the seat in the Z-axis in such a way that the position of the seat is maintained unaltered in the initial position during a change in the level of the vehicle. The device undertakes a stabilizing of the driver's seat additionally in the X and Y direction.
