<p>PURPOSE: A system and method for controlling the transmission of radio packet data using a TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) is provided to rapidly restore a loss of data, due to a handoff or a bit error in an RLP(Radio Link Protocol) and a radio interval, through a congestion control mechanism in a TCP layer. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station executes PPP(Point to Point Protocol) setup with a packet serving node after passing through an RLP initialization procedure with a BSS(Base Station System). At this moment, the BSS detects an IP of the mobile station. In case that the mobile station uses data services through an allocated IP, a data receiving block receives data from an upper packet serving node, judges whether the data have an error, and stores the data in a data storage part(S201,S203). A control block transfers new data, received from an upper layer, to an RLP processing block. The RLP processing block stores the transferred data in a temporary buffer(S205) and transmits the data to the mobile station(S207). At this moment, the RLP processing block confirms whether a retransmission request(NAK) is generated from the mobile station(S209). In case that the retransmission request is generated, the RLP processing block increases the retransmission request count value of an associated sequence(S211), then compares the increased retransmission request count value with a reference value(NAK_ROUND=N)(S213).</p> |
