<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polynucleotide molecule containing a nucleotide sequence coding for a Streptococcus uberis-originated plasminogen activation (PauA) protein, a substantially homologous polypeptide, peptide fragments and a fusion protein, provide a composition and a method for recombinantly expressing the PauA protein coded by the polynucleotide molecule, the homologous polypeptide, the peptide fragments and the fusion protein and provide a vaccine for protecting mammalian constituent species from mastititis, containing the substantially homologous polypeptide, the peptide fragments, the fusion proteins or the polynucleotide molecule of the invention. <P>SOLUTION: For example, the polynucleotide molecule is an isolated molecule containing a nucleotide sequence coding for a protein containing amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 from 26-286 amino acid positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
