<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball 1 having excellent control performance and repulsive performance. <P>SOLUTION: A base material polymer of a cover 3 of the golf ball 1 is mainly composed of polyurethane system thermoplastic elastomer. Dimples 6 are formed on the surface of the cover 3. Some dimples 6 have a ratio (B/T) of height B of the bottom to the nominal thickness T of the cover is 0.70 or less. The percentage R1 of the above dimples 6 occupying the total number of dimples is 10% or more. The percentage R2 of dimples having the ratio (B/T) under 0.30 occupying the total number of dimples is 10% or less. The average value of ratio (B/T) related to all dimples 6 is 0.86 or less. The golf ball 1 includes an intermediate layer having a Shore D hardness of 55 or more.
