PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate composite image data based on first and second image data with a small memory capacity. SOLUTION: The method comprises tile-dividing input image data into first and second tile image data, discretely storing the divided first or second image data in tile image units on a first or second image memory, forming a first and second address management tables 511, 513 for managing the head address and the image size of each tile image, forming a third address management table 515 for controlling the read of the first and second image data by referring to the first and second management tables, and controlling the reading order of individual image data on the first and second image memories by referring to the first to third address management tables, using a memory controller 516.
