WATER-BASED ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new water-based adhesive composition having good film-forming property at a low temperature and good structural viscosity index and viscosity lowering rate even at a high solid content and containing a vinyl acetate resin emulsion useful as an adhesive. SOLUTION: The adhesive composition is composed of a vinyl acetate resin emulsion produced by the seed polymerization of vinyl acetate monomer to an acrylic resin emulsion obtained by using a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as a protective colloid in polymerization.
