PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler capable of preventing an increase in facility costs and reducing maintenance costs even if different kinds of fuel with different heating values are supplied. SOLUTION: The boiler includes a tubular combustion chamber open into a furnace at one end; a tubular flame burner 2 with an oxygen-containing gas spray nozzle and a fuel spray nozzle provided with their spray direction approximately matching the tangential direction of an interior wall surface of the combustion chamber, or a premixture spray nozzle for a premixture of oxygen-containing gas and fuel; and a fuel supply device 7 for mixing two or more kinds of fuel with different heating values and supplying the mixture to the tubular flame burner 2. The boiler may also include a combustion controller 8 for controlling the mixing ratio of each fuel at the fuel supply device 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
