PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information processor for automatically transmitting an image that is photographed by an imaging apparatus such as a digital camera in a size suited for a reception terminal, and to provide the control method of the information processor and a program. SOLUTION: The information processor has a transmission means for transmitting image data for transmission that is created based on specific image information via a communication line, determines the type of the reception terminal of a transmission destination (S706), and selects and transmits the image data for transmission of either main image data or thumbnail image data where the length and breadth sizes of the main image data are reduced according to the determination result (S707, S708).
