PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in collation even if the number of feature points is small, a distortion is formed in a fingerprint, or an area which can be used for collation is small. SOLUTION: When search side core line data, file side core line data and so on are read in, a paired feature points BPM is determined, which is a standard for putting objects to be processed in order. Then, after the file side core line data are corrected in accordance with the order fixed based on the BPM, the core lines included in the search side core line data are selected one by one, and the correspondence of each core line point on the core line to a fixed corresponding point on the file side is established. The core line point which is brought into the correspondence on the search side and file side is called an accorded core line point. After the correspondence is made, the length of consecutive accorded core line point is calculated for every core line on the search side, and a score representing the accordance degree of the core line is calculated on the basis of the calculation concerned.
