PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield with a tear gas spray as a protective device enabling effective use of both the shield and the tear gas spray. SOLUTION: A handle 5 is provided on the back of a shield body 3 and a mounting part 6 of the tear gas spray 2 is provided in a position adjacent to the handle 5. The gas sprayed from the tear gas spray nozzle 10 of the tear gas spray 2 is ejected from the front side of the shield body 3 through an opening 3a in the shield body 3. Because the tear gas spray 2 is attached to the shield body 3, the user can attack an opponent with the tear gas spray 2 while blocking the opponent's attack using the shield body 3. In particular, the shield body 3, if made of a transparent member, enables the user to observe the opponent's movement. A compartment for the pressure bomb 7 of the tear gas spray 2 may be provided inside the handle 5, with the tear gas spray button 14 of the tear gas spray 2 facing the top of the handle 3.
