PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter capable of sufficiently making the best use of the performance of an element part. SOLUTION: A flange part 23 projected from an outer peripheral part is provided on a filter element 15 provided on the midway through which air passes from an introduction passage 6 to a leading out passage 5. This flange part 23 is clamped by a body 2 and a bowl 8 and the bowl 8 is mounted to the body 2. When the bowl 8 is mounted to the body 2, the filter element 15 is supported in the bowl 8 by clamping the flange part by the bowl 8 and the body 2. As a result, when the filter element 15 is mounted, a foreign matter such as dust or the like is hardly generated on the secondary side.
