PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing an adhesive tape by precisely applying a water-dispersive adhesive on a support and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: A liquid supply tank 7 in which the water-dispersive adhesive 3 is stored is covered with a case 11 almost airtightly. The humidity in the tank 7 is detected by a hygrometer 13, and a measured value of the humidity is compared with a standard value by a control part 15 to obtain the variation. Steam is supplied from a humidifier 14 into the case 11 corresponding to the obtained variation. Humidity is kept constant in the inside almost in an airtight condition so that the evaporation of water from the liquid surface of the adhesive 3 in the tank 7 can be prevented. In this way, the mixing of a solid into an adhesive layer by the growth of a dry film can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
