PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate product for surface treatment which has a non-conductive coat layer having good durability and chemical resistance when surface treatment is performed, and to provide a method for producing a final product using the same. SOLUTION: The conductive material to be treated comprises a copper member 2 and a stainless steel member 3. A silicon resin layer is formed on the surface only of the part to be surface-treated in the conductive material to be treated. An epoxy resin layer 15 is formed on the surface of the silicon resin layer. Next, only the part to be surface-treated is heated to a high temperature, and the silicon resin layer and the epoxy resin layer 15 as non-conductive coat layers are fused and peeled. Thereafter, plating treatment or coating is performed to the material to be treated, so that a plated layer 6 or a coating material layer 7 is formed only on the part to be surface-treated. Thus, the number of stages in the operation in the production of the intermediate product for surface treatment can be reduced, and the production cost can be made low. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
