PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master link for a truck chain. SOLUTION: A master link for a truck chain assembly is provided. The master link includes a body part, and has an opening part arranged first and second gaps extending therethrough. The gaps extend outwardly in the radial direction from one of the first and second opening parts. At least one clamping device is engaged with the opening part extending through the gap in an operable manner. When the clamping device is fixed, the width of the gaps is reduced, the diameter of one of the first and second opening parts is reduced thereby, and a clamping force is provided.
