摘要 A method of manufacturing a bearing, comprising the steps of filling iron- and copper-based material powders (1) and (2A) and (2B) in the filling part of a metal mold, pressurizing the material powders (1) and (2A) and (2B) to form a pressurized powder body (6), and sintering the pressurized powder body (6), wherein the copper-based material powder is a flat powder (2B) having a larger aspect ratio than the iron-based material powder (1) and the copper-based flat powder (2B) is segregated on the sliding surface (51) side of the bearing by vibration, the sliding surface (51) of the bearing is covered with copper and the ratio of iron is increased from the sliding surface (51) toward the inside of the bearing, and since a rotating shaft is slid on the sliding surface (51) covered with copper, the coefficient of friction is low between the rotating shaft and the sliding surface (51), whereby the rotating shaft can be smoothly rotated and, at the same time, the specified strength and durability of the bearing can be provided by iron.
