Motor vehicle tire checking method for use with tires having magnetic tracks in their walls, whereby tires have additional radial magnetization to increase the binary information content capacity

Method for checking motor vehicle tires in which magnetic tracks in the tire wall are used. More efficient use of the magnetization is obtained by use of alternating radial magnetization to form a binary code. Independent claims are also included for:- (a) tires with radial magnetic coding; and (b) a detection device for use in checking tires.
