PURPOSE: A data management system and method using spare data packets in a wireless terminal is provided to manage personal information, generated according to the use of a wireless terminal, on the Internet by using spare data packets in transmitting short messages, without an additional charge. CONSTITUTION: A data management system(200), contained in a wireless terminal, manages various personal data, such as short messages, phone numbers, memos, schedules, etc. The data management system(200) is comprised of a user input processing module(210), a data storage module(220), a short message sending module(230), and a data management module(240). Personal data and short message contents are inputted to the user input processing module(210) from the user. The data storage module(220) stores the personal data inputted to the user input processing module(210). The data management module(240) is composed of a transmission profile format manufacturing part(242), a personal data header information manufacturing part(244), and a transmission message format manufacturing part(246). In case that the data capacity of the short message inputted to the user input processing module(210) exceeds a preappointed size, the short message sending module(230) directly sends the short message only. If the data capacity is under the preappointed size, the user input processing module(210) sends a transmission message, manufactured by data management module(240), to a communication company server. |
