PURPOSE: A proximity detection device is provided to protect a proximity sensor with a sensor cover, and to prevent the proximity sensor from interfering with parts by moving the proximity sensor up and down. CONSTITUTION: A base frame(3) is mounted to one side of a truck(1), and has a cylindrical sliding case(5). A sliding bar(7) is slidably mounted to the sliding case, and has a stopper(9). A connecting plate(15) is fixed to the top of the sliding bar. An elastic member(17) is located between the lower surface of the connecting plate and the top of the sliding case, and is fit into the sliding bar. A proximity sensor(21) is mounted to one side of the connecting plate by a bracket(19). A sensor cover(23) is installed at the bracket, and covers the proximity sensor.
