PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide image forming method and system capable of easily forming a three-dimensional (3D) image from a non-3D image of a two-dimensional (2D) direction independently of the kind of the image.

SOLUTION: Three-dimensional (3D) picture data are formed by detecting featured values such as the brightness and saturation of a non-3D image and processing the non-3D image by using suitable featured values in accordance with the kind of the image such as wallpaper and an engraving and the 3D picture data and color image forming data indicating the colors of the non-3D image are together transmitted to an image forming device capable of forming a 3D image by using foaming toner or the like.
