<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce restrictions of space by obtaining smooth power transmission by making the angle of a twist between a driving gear and a driven gear large and smoothly and easily inserting a unit. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device body 10 having the driving gear 13 formed of a bevel gear and a unit 20 having a case 21 supporting a rotating body 22 having the driven gear 23 formed of a bevel gear engaging the driving gear are constituted so that the unit 20 can be loaded in and unloaded from the image forming device body by insertion and extraction; and the driving gear 13 is provided movably along the axis and an energizing member 16 is provided which energizes the driving gear 13 in the same direction with a component of force along the axis which is generated with a reaction force that the driving gear 13 receives from the driven gear 23 at the time of driving. A tangential force as a reaction force in a rotating direction which operates on the driven gear 23 with a pressing force at the time of insertion of the unit is set larger than a tangential force needed to rotate the rotating body 22 to the case 21 of the unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
