<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waist training instrument capable of adjusting the balance between the muscles in the vicinity of the waist, centering around the greater psoas muscle, or the like, deeply related to lumbago and effective for correcting evein the skeletal structure in the vicinity of the waist. <P>SOLUTION: The waist training instrument is a swing type one constituted so that a user 16 sits down on a seat plate 6 spported swingably before and behind by a pair of left and right hanging levers 5 and the seat plate 6 is swung before and behind by the user's own strength to train the muscle power of the user's waist. The vicinity 7 of the center of the waist of the user 16 sitten down the seat plate 6 is set to a position almost same to that of the center of rotation of the hanging levers 5 supporting the seat plate 6.
