<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of maintenance checkup processes by transmitting an optical signal so that radio signal power can be efficiently extracted from optical power in a radio base station, thereby eliminating the necessity of an electric signal amplifier etc. in the radio base station to constitute inexpensive hardware in the radio base station. <P>SOLUTION: This optical transmitter is provided with first, second and third single spectrum light sources; an optical modulator connected to any one of the three single spectrum light sources; first, second and third controllers for controlling output values of first, second and third output optical signals emitted from the first, second and third single spectrum light sources, including an output optical signal modulated by the optical modulator, respectively; and an optical multiplexer for multiplexing the output optical signals from the output controllers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
