<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink which is used for inkjet recording and can give colored images having excellent fastness against ozone gas, to provide an ink set which is used for inkjet recording and can form images having excellent color reproducibility and high light fastness, and to provide an inkjet recording method. <P>SOLUTION: This ink for the inkjet recording is characterized by containing at least one dye selected from azo dyes having specific structures. The ink set for the inkjet recording, comprising yellow ink, magenta ink and cyan ink as the minimum constitution elements, is characterized by using the azo dye in at least either one of the ink.
