<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regeneration of catalyst for effectively carrying out at a low cost regeneration of an NOx-removal catalyst for coal-fired boiler. <P>SOLUTION: In the regeneration of a degraded NOx-removal catalyst for a coat-fired boiler, firstly dust-components physically covering the catalyst surface are removed, and then the catalyst is washed with water and dried. The dried catalyst is impregnated with an aqueous solution of a vanadium compound and a tungsten compound along with an acid such as oxalic acid, and dried.
