<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to smoothly pass the tail end (to pass a sheet) without causing the problem such as to spring up the tail end of a material to be rolled in a method for controlling loopers of a continuous rolling machine in which a plurality of stands are arranged side by side, a spacing between stands which becomes looperless rolling and a spacing between stands which becomes looper rolling at the following downstream side are provided. <P>SOLUTION: Before a reference time when the tail end 6 of the material 5 to be rolled passes the upstream side stands X in a space between stands X-Y which becomes the looperless rolling, a tension is increased and a looper angle is lowered in a downstream side space between stands Y-Z following the space between stands X-Y which becomes the looperless rolling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
