<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a excellent economical efficiency and can making properties because neck-in is small at melt extrusion and foreign matters are hard to generate in an obtained molten resin film, excellent in the flavor properties of an obtained metal can and made hard to generate the appearance defect (the whitening of a polyester film) of the outer surface of a metal can by hot water sterilizing treatment performed after the filling with content. <P>SOLUTION: A molten resin extruded in a laminar state in such a state that olefinic polymers are allowed to meet with each other at both end parts using a T-die is cooled and solidified to obtain resin films (A) and (B) and these films are uniaxially stretched longitudinally. Next, the resin films are thermally fixed. Subsequently, the resin films are thermally fixed and both end parts of the films are cut off to obtain polyester films (A) and (B).
