COATING MATERIAL FOR PRESTRESSED CONCRETE TENDON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for prestressed concrete (PC) tendons which effectively tensions concrete after being set when applied to a large concrete structure and which is excellent in storage stability. SOLUTION: The coating material contains a urethane prepolymer and calcium oxide and has a setting time adjusted so that tensioning with the PC tendons may develop on and after 30 days after the placement of concrete. It is desirable that the urethane polymer has an NCO%/solid contents of at least 5%, and that the calcium oxide is contained in an amount of 5-30 wt.% based on the coating material.
