PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice feeding apparatus which is high in operation reliability and can efficiently use rice stored in a rice storage, and a rice washing machine. SOLUTION: The rice feeding apparatus 30 has an action control means which, while a stored rice shortage signal is given by a stored rice shortage signal sending means 35, calculates the amount of residual stored rice in the rice storage 31 after a rice supply action is finished on the basis of the amount of rice to be supplied by a new rice supply action and controls the rice supply action corresponding to the amount of residual stored rice. The rice washing machine has an action control means which, while the stored rice shortage signal is given by the stored rice shortage signal sending means 35, calculates the amount of residual stored rice in the rice storage 31 after the rice supply action is finished on the basis of the amount of rice to be supplied to a rice washing part 13 by the new rice supply action and controls the action of at least one of a rice storage part and the rice washing part 13 corresponding to the amount of residual stored rice.
