PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate interruption of driving and to indicate the interruption. SOLUTION: An embroidering machine is equipped with a plurality of needles 9 and the needles are driven, being switched over appropriately on the basis of instructions from an operating part 40, so as to form a sewn pattern in a plurality of colors. The proper numbers of the selected needles are indicated in the driving sequence in an indicating part 41 of the operating part 40 and the proper number of the needle being driven at present is highlighted. When necessary, in addition, an indication of interruption of driving can be inserted between the proper numbers of the needles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
