A dielectric ceramic composition consists of 85-96 mole per cent of barium titanate, 1-2,5 mole per cent of bismuth stannate and either, 1-3,5 mole per cent of tin oxide or zirconium oxide and 1-10 mole per cent of calcium titanate, or 1-3,5 mole per cent of lead stannate and 1-10 mole per cent of calcium stannate. 0,5-2% by weight of an oxide may be added, e.g. tantalum oxide, niobium pentoxide or uranium oxide, as may about 1% by weight of clay. In examples, compositions as above were mixed and ground in a ball mill with a binder, e.g. polymethyl methacrylate resin, and a suitable solvent, e.g. ethylene dichloride. The mixtures were then cast in the form of thin sheets upon a glass plate, dried at 70 DEG C. and then fired at 1093 DEG -1427 DEG C.ALSO:A dielectirc ceramic composition consists of 85-96 mole per cent of barium titanate, 1-2,5 mole per cent of bismuth stannate, and either 1-3,5 mole per cent of tin oxide or, zirconium oxide and 1-10 mole per cent of calcium titanate or 1-3,5 mole per cent of lead stannate and 1-10 mole per cent of calcium stannate. 0,5-2% by weight of an oxide may be added e.g. tantalum oxide, niobium pentoxide or uranium oxide as may about 1% by weight of clay.
