<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high throughput in data communication using multivalue modulation. <P>SOLUTION: In a retransmission a switch 604 is switched, and the transmitted data stored in a buffer 603 at the first time of transmission is input into a multivalue modulator 605 after being converted in bit string at a bit string converting section 606. In other words, the order of alignment in bit string within one symbol is inverted from the first time of transmission. The symbol inverted in bit string is multivalue-modulated at the modulator 605 using 16 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). The modulated symbol is transmitted through an antenna 613 after being multiplexed at a multiplexer 608 together with a transmission frequency notification signal indicating to be a second transmission. Thus in the retransmission, the bit position allocated for each piece of data within one symbol is switched from the initial transmission. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
