<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply an inkjet printer requiring enhancement of print quality and high print speed stably with a large quantity of ink capable of forming a blur-free image with a high density. <P>SOLUTION: The ink cartridge comprises an ink containing a coloring matter, i.e. a pigment included in a polymer to be dispersed into water, with the quantity of aromatic ring in the polymer being set between 20-70% and the quantity of free polymer contained in the liquid component being set at 3% or less, and a negative pressure generating means (film valve) for dividing an ink containing chamber into a lower ink containing chamber and an upper ink containing chamber and supplying ink to a recorder by pumping ink from the lower ink containing chamber to the upper ink containing chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
