REVERSIBLE MULTI-COLOR RECORDING MEDIUM AND RECORDING METHOD USING THE RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible multi-color thermosensitive recording medium which shows stable color development/discoloration and a sharp image contrast, outstanding image stability and is capable of rapidly printing/erasing an image, and a recording method.

SOLUTION: The reversible multi-color recording medium 10 is formed of recording layers 11 to 13 separately laminated in the plane direction of a support substrate 1. The recording layers 11 to 13 contain a plurality of reversible thermosensitive color developing compositions with different developed color tones and the reversible thermosensitive color developing compositions contain a photothermal conversion material which absorbs infrared rays of respectively different wavelength ranges and generates heat.
