<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin display device by which transition from the horizontal state to the vertical state of a display section is allowed with one action and the display section is rotationally operated with approximately the center portion of the display section as a center. <P>SOLUTION: The thin display device comprises: the thin display section 1 having approximately rectangular display surface; a stand section supporting the display section 1; and a horizontal rotation shaft 3 fixed to approximately the center portion at the back of the display section 1 and rotatably holding at at least 90° the display section 1 with respect to the stand section 2.
