<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic optical connector ferrule that has high quality and high accuracy with no distortion by uniformly and efficiently heating a part to be a ferrule in a degreasing process and a calcining process. <P>SOLUTION: In the processes, a flange part 5b is formed at a base part of a ferrule including part 5 including a ferrule part 5a to be a ceramic ferrule, and a green 1 where a ventilation hole 8 is formed at peripheral symmetric position along the ferrule part 5a of the flange part 5b is used. The ferrule part 5a is housed in a housing hole 31a of a platform 30 in a hanging posture when degreased and calcinated. In such a case, the ferrule part 5a is located at the center of the housing hole 31a, and an identical gap is formed between the housing hole 31a and the ferrule part 5a. Thus, degreased waste gas and heated hot blast of calcination are caused to smoothly flow from the housing hole 31a to the ventilation hole 8, and the ferrule part 5a is evenly and uniformly degreased and calcinated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
