<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pyroligneous liquor with higher function than conventional pyroligneous liquor, and to provide a new pyroligneous liquor-containing material which has expanded application fields thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The pyroligneous liquor is obtained by chipping woody materials such as thinning trees, bergs, discarded materials from new building construction, lumber wastes, pruned branches of trees in roads/parks, driftwoods in dams, and stupas as raw materials; subjecting the chips to dry distillation at 700-1,300°C in a dry distillation apparatus 10; and cooling the obtained woody gas by supplying cooling water in an amount of 4,200 liter/hour. The pyroligneous liquor contains Fe, Na, K, Ca, Zn, Mn, Si, and Mg as metallic components and acetic acid, formic acid, propionic acid and citric acid as organic substances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
