<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for providing electronic manual and a server apparatus, which automatically selects and provides manual information related to items to be observed corresponding to clients' use situations. <P>SOLUTION: A center 100 collects and stores information on use situation of each copying machine 300 through a public line network 2. If a client operates a terminal 500 and requests for providing manual pages to the center 100 through the Internet 3, the center 100 identifies the user (the client) of the terminal 500 that requires provision. If the user is authorized for the copying machine 300, the center 100 analyzes use situation information of the copying machine 300. Subsequently, the center 100 selects manual items to be observed corresponding to the analysis results, and then creates manual pages that indicate the selected manual items.
