CONTENTS PACKET, DISTRIBUTION REQUEST SIGNAL, DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULE, SERVER AND TERMINAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute various streaming media data dispersed on the network to a specific terminal sequentially with a simple configuration having no supervisory apparatus of servers.

SOLUTION: The server is provided with the distribution program having the information of a streaming distribution schedule and information of servers of a distribution source and a switching destination, and the terminal is provided with a detection unit for detecting termination of reception of content packets distributed from the server. Thus the terminal receives and reproduces, as continuous media data, the media data that the plurality of servers hold.
