<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clocking system and its control method for speedily and accurately indicating current time of day when making transition from the power-saving mode to the normal mode. <P>SOLUTION: The system is provided with a power system 2, a secondary power source 31, time counters 922, 932 counting current time of day, a receiving circuit 42 receiving standard wave, a time-indicating means 5 indicating the current time of day, a power detector 83 outputting a power detection signal when detecting the power generation status of the power system 2 or the status that battery voltage of the secondary cell 31 is constant, and an operation mode transition section 874 switching power-saving mode freezing time display and normal mode indicating the time display based on the power detection signal. The operation mode selector section 874 allows the time-indicating means 5 to display current time of day based on both timing data counted by time counters 922, 932 and the one received by the receiving circuit 42 when making transition from the power-saving mode to the normal mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
