PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for authenticating a user which improves a user convenience by automatically processing an authenticating sequence requested for each public radio accessing system in a user terminal and to provide a user authentication program and a data communication terminal. SOLUTION: The method for authenticating the user includes a step of receiving an identification code intrinsic to an access point from the access point, a step of starting a user authentication software previously registered corresponding to the received code, a step of selecting a user authentication code previously registered corresponding to the started user authentication software, and a step of applying the selected user authentication code to the started user authentication software.
